David Lloyd is one of the best comic artists full stop. To me, he belongs in the same category as Dave Gibbons and David Mazzucchelli as content over style. Every panel, every pose and mannerism moves the story along. Nothing is erroneous; everything is fluid and plausible - You can not help but believe in the worlds that these guys create.
And such is the case for Kickback. For someone who has illustrated V For Vendetta and 2000AD, this is an artist who can make anything real and the world of corrupt cops and underworld nightmares is almost coming off out from the page.
