I very much enjoyed meeting children's author John Brindley when we talked about his book Rule of Claw. We were in a tiny little room in a big room at Orion Publishers with machinery clattering outside!

He had much to say about evolution and ecology and his influences about what inspired him to write the story.

Rule of Claw is a thought provoking novel of some 96 very short chapters - it combines elements of Lord of the Flies, with the speedy story telling of Michael Crichton and the evolutionary theories of Richard Dawkins. The result is a compelling story of how to save our planet with a very strong message for all to understand.
