Review

'WE' is the latest offering from John Dickinson and is quite different from his previous historical novel and medieval fantasy trilogy - and I have to say that it is quite brilliant.

It is based on four people who have been sent to a space station on a far off moon, many millions of miles from Earth to do research, and off course to see if there is any intelligent life out there!

The final part of the John Dickenson Trilogy  "The Fatal Child" the previous two having been The Cup of the World and The Widow King.

I have so enjoyed the final part of this trilogy, although John Dickenson may decide to add an additional story because it would be interesting to see how everything turns out with all the other characters in the books.

John Dickenson has surpassed himself with this series of books with the first book of his trilogy being his first ever book when he wrote it.  The characters have all grown in stature through the books.

'The Widow and the King' is the second in this trilogy and follows on from the first book some twelve years after we left the story in 'The Cup of the World'.

This book is also an enchanting and very compelling book which also has one of the best opening chapters that you could read, which makes you hooked from the first moment.  I did not expect this opening as I had assumed it would carry the story on from where we left Phaedra fleeing for her life.

Review

This is the first fantasy book I have read. A triplet series the first one 'The Cup of the World' the second 'The Widow of the King' and the third 'The Fatal Child'

Okay this is  a children's historical fantasy book but it is brilliant.  I have found that I have been unable to put the book down.  There is terrific detail within the text which is glowingly rich and really unforgettable.    Not only that, the author seems to have put all his passion for politics and betrayal within this first book.
