RT Kendall

Wow - what can I say! RT Kendall is not one to mince his words, and comes straight to the point very quickly. If you are willing to humble yourself, admit your failure and work in Faith to get that second chance, then RT Kendall will guide you all the way with this book.

As always he is excellent and points out that God never stops Loving you in any way - that's where the Faith bit comes in because you really do need to accept this!

The Excellent Way is a very un American book, written by American preacher RT Kendall, and I guess the reason for that, is that he was Minister of Westminster Chapel for 25 years and has been thoroughly Anglicised!

Some people may feel that RT Kendall's book 'Did You think to Pray' too simple, but I feel that if you've never said a prayer in your life and have no idea how to do it, this book is a very good place to start.

Rt Kendall is a very practical and forthright person - calling a spade a spade and not a fork. He is not Philip Yancy with lots of anecdotes but he will give you a good no punches pulled start based on a sound theological background - he was Dean of Westminster for 13 years!

This is one of R T Kendall's earlier books but I found this an enlightening and a book that questionend my faith in different ways. R T Kendall has written many books over the years and this is one that has made me stop and think. Why do I say this? Well in todays's world many think just of God in the New Testament Context but we also have to remember Him in the Old Testament, where he was a challenging God, who did rain fire and brimstone on his people.

Totally Forgiving Ourselves is the excellent sequel to Total Forgiveness. As one would expect with any of RT Kendall's books this is a very easy book to read, but actually taking in what he is saying did make me stop and think.
