These are books aimed at the young adult market (with yet more girls as heroines - where are all the boys in this genre ?) based on the Norse sagas with an idiomatic northern language twist, but don't attempt this if you haven't read, and enjoyed, Runemarks, the first in the series !

There isn't a well-known label one can attach to this story - it's a puzzle, modern in its use of current technology, a precautionary tale maybe in the use of that technology, a thriller in that murders appear to occur. I urge you to read the inside cover blurb, and take note of chapter heading detail - it will make reading this book somewhat easier.

A clever subtle book, easy to read, and very enjoyably taking the reader, through a whole host of emotions and humanities. Recommended.

This novel The Lollipop Shoes by Joanne Harris is brilliantly set in Montmartre.  This book is based in a chocolate shop, where wonderful confections are made.  There are a number of charactors within the novel, with some staying around for a couple of days and others that are there from the beginning chapter of the book, October 31st and still there in the final chapter dated 25th December.
