Joel Osteen

I've been a fan of Joel Osteen for about 4 or 5 years now, having come across this quietly spoken preacher on one of Sky's God channels. I was impressed by the fact that he uses common sense in his TV broadcasts and internet Daily Word that go to millions of people around the world, and doesn't bible bash at you. And so it is with all of his books.

I first came across Joel Osteen on one of the God channels on Sky satellite tv and was very drawn to his easy anecdotal style of preaching, but not only that he was quiet! Unheard of for an American tv preacher - he didn't shout or scream at the viewer and talked a lot of good sense. His book 'Your Best Life Now' is in the same style of presentation as his weekly shows on tv.

This is a good read, especially if life seems to be handing you all the negativity that you do not want to hold on to. As the title says Becoming a Better You - seven keys to improving the life you live, helps to releave the negativity and the pressure of modern life.
