Having read House Rules and being the mother of Naomi an adult on the autisitic spectrum I wanted to do an interview with Jodi Picoult. Time was very precious in her schedule so Kerry Hood her PR from Hodder & Stoughton kindly asked the questions for me while they travelled from one interview to another.

House Rules by Jodi Picoult is an exceptional book about Jacob an autistic teenager with Asperger's Syndrome, and his family - mum Emma and brother Theo, and how they cope when Jacob's tutor is found dead.

As a mother to Naomi who is an adult with autism, I found Jacob's Asperger's Syndrome very true and his reactions and thought processes absolutely spot on - as are his brother Theo's reactions to life dealing with an autistic brother.

Jodi Picoult's Book Nineteen Minutes from the cover looks like it is going to be about two young children! Well it is not, in the way we would expect it to be. It is about a group of children, and one boy Peter in particular who, like many children is the child who is always not good enough as he sees it, in his parents eyes.
