Focusing on how the "wrong" emotional states can act as barriers to realising your potential, Your Destiny Switch allows the individual to see how it's possible to change those states by simple, but effective exercises and affirmations. This book is able to bring a different approach to the normal "self-help" books by allowing people to look at the different emotional states that they invariably wallow in -mostly because they don't know any different- safely, but also (and more importantly) show them that there are alternatives within their grasp.
The problem I find is that we're not told that there are alternatives to our "normal" feelings - we tend to accept emotional states (and why is it we see happiness as fleeting, rather than being the normal state of being) instead of realising that we can change how we see things.
I feel books of this type need to be taught in schools -or at least the messages that lie within. Because inside is empowerment, and self-realisation and we all need more of that!
