WITH A FORTUNE AT STAKE -- WHO CAN YOU TRUST? When Geir Lamarck is asked to track down a missing heiress, it's not just another case. Because the heiress is Taslana Zael and she stands to inherit twenty billion marks. When Laura Glyde tells Lamarck she really is Taslana Zael, he knows she's lying -- but can he prove it? Finding the answers takes him back into a past he thought he'd left behind. Soon he realises things are not as straightforward as they appear. To learn the truth, will he have to trust Laura after all? Part mystery, part love story, part satire, The Zael Inheritance is sure to appeal to readers who want their stories told with wit and verve.
Review
This is a cleverly written book that is heavily dialogued base which I really like. Once I got into it I couldn't put the book down because I wanted to know what was happening next and would our main characters Lamarck and Taslana survice until the end!
This is an intriguing plot and all is not quite what it seems with a very nice twist towards the end. The DNA picture of the book front does give a hint of what's to come and I have to say Tim Stretton is a writer to look out for. Could this story happen today - I think it could, especially given how fast science is changing both our perception of the world and the many answers to questions about current dieases and cures for illnesses.
A book to recommend.
