Synopsis
Can you really see evil when you look into someone's eyes? In a rundown house, a woman has been dismembered in an act of carnage that leaves veteran cops in shock. Review
Another book in the Maura Isles series, with two stories, one past one present, running parallel to each other throughout the novel.
Gerritsens own knowledge in anthropology lends an interesting perspective to this novel, blending ancient mythology with real life horror, giving the characters interesting depth and the story some unusual twists.
Not as compelling as some of her other novels, but none the less a good read.
