Review

A ghost story written for older children about two boys called Elliot and Ben who have moved into an old house which their father is renovating.

This story chilled me to the bone becouse of the feeling of fear and menace that runs through the whole book and the sense of evil which seems to be everywhere.

The East Wing is haunted by an evil ghost called Cullayn whose main aim is to hunt and kill. Janey is an unusual character because I was never quite sure if she was for or against Cullayn. I would have liked the author to have
given more information about her early life. Why did she have this limited power against Cullayn and where did it come from.

A well thought out plot with all the elements for a good ghost story with plenty of ghosts and thrills and spills. I loved the haunting rhymes that runs through the book.

This is not to be missed if you enjoy a good story which I know adults will enjoy it too. Highly Recommended.
