Review
The Excellent Way is a very un American book, written by American preacher RT Kendall, and I guess the reason for that, is that he was Minister of Westminster Chapel for 25 years and has been thoroughly Anglicised!
All the daily readings have been taken from his most popular published books such as Totally Forgiving Ourselves and Did You Think To Pray. Each reading starts of with a verse from the bible and then RT Kendall gives a mini teaching with lots of wonderful insights and wisdom.
I particularly like the Lord's Prayer from March 1st to 10th where RT Kendall takes each line and explains in depth what it means. He uses the modern version which uses the word 'Your' instead of 'Thy' which I'm not sure I like but it is the version most churches use nowadays. However the teaching is very helpful. Only occasionally does RT Kendall use personal anecdotal examples.
A daily reading book that will enhance the readers understanding of the bible and in doing so deepening their faith and spirituality.
