The 39 Clues - Book 1 The Maze of Bones

This is the book that is going to take our young people by storm because Rick Riordan has thought up the most brilliant series of stories and clues in 10 sequential books starting with 'The Maze of Bones', as to why the Cahill's  are the most powerful family in the world.  

I sat and read this book from start to finish in just under 3 hours, I just could not put it down and can't wait until the next one comes out in December. 

I have just looked at the game cards in the original book and I am going to see if I as a gran, not an eight to twelve year old can work out what I have to do with them on the internet game,  there are clue cards in each book that you use  with the game.This is a very cleverly thought out package to bring in added extras that you can buy from retailers.

From what I have read in the book, the game which runs along side it looks really exciting.  I don't play computer games but this one makes me want to really have a go and see how far I can get along the quest of the 39 clues.

This is a fantastic idea with a new book which will be coming out every three months until we get to the end of the quest and have covered all 39 clues;this is a fabulous way to get young people reading and using their brains. I'm sure that children will be helping each other with the clues and swapping cards and hopefully winning some of the many prizes on offer.
