Going on a flight is a strange and exciting experience. From the moment you arrive at the airport - where does your bag go after you hand it over at the check-in? What is that strange squashed-up lorry doing? And when you take off: are those clunks normal? Should the wing be doing that? Where is the food cooked? What happens when you flush the toilet? And - why don't pilots have beards? You'll find all the answers in this book, and it will also show you the exciting things to look out for while you are in an airport. Every time you spot one of them you can tick it off and earn points. Welcome aboard!
Review
Peter Kent has done this fabulous book to stop all those WHY QUESTIONS when you go on holiday. The story and the illustrations are all done by him and very colourfully and clearly so that all can understand.
This is a great little book to give to the children when you are stuck in the airport for two hours before your flight. There are tick boxes for them to spot various vehicles out on the tarmac. They can also learn how the plane is fuelled up and where the luggage goes after you have put it on the conveyer belt. Also as a bonus they can read the story to you as they find the items on the tarmac outside the windows.
Great book and a very good price, fab illustrations and interactive play for all. When are you going to do some more on perhaps trains and boats!!
