It's nearly Christmas and everyone at Silver Shoe Farm is excited about the Olympia horse show - especially Tilly. It's a chance to see some of the top show jumpers in the world, as well as some wonderful displays. But her enthusiasm is overshadowed when her favourite horse, Magic Spirit, gets ill and needs every possible attention. Then, at Olympia a chance encounter with Samson, a highly-strung stallion, means Tilly's special gift with horses is not only in demand at home, but at the show too!
Review
Pippa Funnell's book 'Samson the Stallion' is very well read by Clare Balding, and I found myself being caught up in the story very quickly.
I enjoyed the fact that Tilly can still help other horses even though she's very worried about Magic Spirit - her favourite horse. But somehow she always looks as if she's doing something wrong, even if it's right! But it all turns out o.k in the end.
A lovely story for all horse mad kids - highly recommended.
