Review

Prophecy by Peter James was written in 1988 but I have only just read the book it is one of the very best suspence crime novels I have read for a long time.

The book is based in and around London: a young archaeologist Franie Monsanto is asked to collect and bring a friends double bass from London to York, she does this and when struggling on the platform at Kings Cross she meets a gentleman who is going to figure very greatly in her life. But she does not know this at the time!

When she does meet up with this gentleman again strange things seem to happen around her. People she meets and friends from her past keep popping up but not in the way you would expect and disaster seems to be following her old college friends. Particularly those who had one night spent time in the cellar of her fathers shop playing with a Ouigi board. Was it all related she does know!

The way Peter has put the suspense and the twists and turns and then the outcome together is amazinging. I intend to read more of his books and see where he goes from this one upto those he is writing in the present day.
