Synopsis
Sara's mother told her that she shouldn't marry Conrad - that the twenty-five-year age gap between them would tell in the end. The end is now (apparently) approaching fast. Conrad, a famous painter, has decided that it would be good to die before he gets seriously old and so spends his time sorting out his chaotic life. Sara, teaching art at a local college, finds that she has plenty of male company - other people's husbands, ones she tells Conrad all about, who are just good friends to her. But there's one she, somehow, doesn't get round to mentioning...
Review

What a wonderfully enlightening novel of how other people seem to live and Judy Astley's book 'Other peoples husbands' was a real eye opener into this very subject. What do I mean by that, well seems that 90% of the women in this book seem to think it okay to flirt with another man outside of their marriage!

But there is a sting in the tale and you will find out what I mean if you just  take a few hours to yourself and read this amazingly funny book.

There are many characters who all seem to be very colourful being involed in art classes and other creative things; with each of them trying to keep the secret flirtations from their partner, but their partners are asking their wives friends, are they seeing someone else or what is going on do you know?

This is a as I said a mish-mash of inter-relationships, lots of wonderfully mis-understood affairs and a brilliant read.  It races into the storyline and the stupidity of what the characters get up to, just makes for a lot of laughs.  A brilliant read for a rainy afternoon!!!!
