Review
For many people who are already fans of the Anita Blake series, written by Laurell K. Hamilton, this will feel like a bit of a cop out, as it is a greatly edited/abridged versions of many of her previous books. You feel as though you are getting mere snippets of stories you have already read, re hashed into a few short pages and sold as a NEW story!!! This is a weeny bit upsetting for many fans.... BUT on the flip side, if you have never read any of these books, and you want to see what all the fuss is about, then this is a pretty good jumping off point. You get to enjoy juicy, enticing pieces or a little bit of back story that might have been referred to or hinted at in the original books. It's like eating at a buffet, where you get to try many new flavours, before helping yourself to a plateful of your favourite dishes.
Just be warned, this book is really a teaser for Laurell K. Hamilton' other works!
