Synopsis

Join the wonderfully weird Otherhand family and their faithful guardian, Edgar the raven, and discover the dark secrets of Castle Otherhand. A trip to the circus has far-reaching consequences for the Otherhands when Fellah goes missing. Before long the Castle is plagued by a duck, a suspect fortune teller, and several cartloads of lethal cabbages. The family is preoccupied: Valevine is busy inventing a cabbage-counting machine; Minty is waiting to hear the secrets of the universe; and Solstice has discovered that Cudweed is concealing three hundred and forty-two rabbits in his bedroom. When chaos strikes and thieves infiltrate the Castle, it falls to Edgar to extract his family from a very fluffy predicament. Dedicated website on Raven Mysteries: www.ravenmysteries.co.uk

Review

This is the latest book in the Edgar the Raven series and in my opinion the funniest book so far.

Edgar is a very bored Raven because he is longing for something to happen; so a trip to the circus and a Fortune Teller called Madame Zora, who comes to stay at Castle Otherhand, make events take an unexpected turn!

I love this book with all it's odd ball characters, especially Valevine who is head of the household and an inventor. Edgar's forays into the larder when cook was not looking is hilarious.

This book is easy to read with illustrations on each page, and at the beginning of each chapter there is always a different comment.

A most enjoyable book which is clever and funny because the plot is well thought out and the writing is witty and such
fun to read. Highly Recommended.
