Review

Joyce Meyer is well known for her ministry on the God Channel and also for Her series 'Enjoying Everyday Life' radio and television programmes.

This is an amazingly spiritual book, Joyce in this book provides a 12 key plan for overcoming the life of poor eating and exercising habbits that prevent us from fulfilling our full potential.

I found the chapter headings were so correct when having read the introduction she asks the following questions. Do you know how valuable you are? Where do you fit in your home and family life? Do you come after every one else? or Do you respect yourself in the same way as you do others? This was a brilliant spring board into the following 12 chapters with there specialised topics from one to twelve that build on the previous ones in the book.

Joyce quotes a passage from:

1 Corinthians Chapter 6 verses 19-20 says

"That your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit."

1 Peter Chapter 3 verses 3-4 says"

Let not yours by the external adorning with interweaving and knitting of the hair, the weaving of jewelry or changes of clothes; But let it be the inward adorning and beauty of the hidden person of the heart, with the incoruptable, unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God"

With both the above verses she points out that we must receive GOD'S UNCONDITIONAL LOVE at the beginning, before any healing process can begin in our lives.

The twelve chapter headings cover a wide range of topics - Letting God do the heavy lifting; Learning to love your Body; Mastering Metabilism, Exercise; Balanced Eating,Water your Life; Mindeful Eating; Curb your Spiritual Hunger; De-stress, Have the Right Vision; Make it Easy and last but not least Take Responsibility for your life

I found that this was a real spiritual encounter and yet it starts out by going though all the underlying problems that many of us have. Joyce I know practices what she preaches and talks about it in this book. A wonderful way to sort your life out with not only spiritual methods but relating them to every day life. From feeling of being not wanted, no use and total waste of space to being cherished and nurtured by the best Father in the World.

I loved this book and I will be reviewing 5 others by Joyce over the next few weeks.
