Little Louis still hasn't learnt to fly. All his brothers and sisters have figured it out but try as he might, he just can't get off the ground. So, when the family prepare to head south for their winter holiday, Louis has to travel by jumbo jet. He's a bit nervous, but at least the complimentary peanuts make the trip smoother. When he arrives, well ahead of his flying family, he is escorted to his hotel - and then promptly abandoned- by Guido the flamingo, and finds himself desperately alone...Eventually, though, a series of mishaps leads to an exciting discovery of flight and friendship, as Little Louis finally takes off. This stylishly illustrated picture book is full of wit and warmth. Children will love sharing in the thrills and spills as this endearing little bird learns independence, new skills and -most importantly- how to make friends.
Review
A lovely story about a swallow who hasn't learnt to fly so the parents decide he will have to go by plane. What adventures this little bird has.
A beautuifully illustrated book and wonderful descriptions and story lines. I love this and think my young grandchildren will love it also.
