As she learns of Matilda's unhappy marriage, her love for the handsome Richard de Clare and the brutal threats of death at the hands of King John, it becomes clear that Jo's past and present are hopelessly entwined and that, eight hundred years on, a story of secret passion and unspeakable treachery is about to begin again...

Review

A new edition of the popular book the Lady of Hay has been published to celebrate the author's twenty five years as a writer.

This is one of my favourite books becouse of the meticulous historical research and the supernatural element,a fascinating combination.

Joe Clifford an investgative journalist is researching past life regression for a magazine but when she is put under hypnois disturbing and distressing events occur.

I like the way the author entwines the story of Matilda De Brose a proud and couragous lady who lived in the 12th century and Joe's life in the 20th century. As Matildas life gradually enfolds Joe has trouble coping with her own.

A haunting atmospheric book with a wealth of historical
detail and an insight into how people lived in those times.I enjoyed this book more the second time round. Highly Recommended.
