This is the compelling story of a woman's life who discover's at the age of 43 she is adopted.
Review
Her adopted father whom she believed to be her real father, had physically, sexually and emotionally abused continually. Her one wish was to be like her friend who had been adopted and continually said "I wish I was" and not with the parents I have. She just wanted to get away from the man that she could not stand and was so scared of.
Then when she discovers the truth she sets out on the quest to find her real parents and this is to test her faith, beyond all bounds. She succeeds and finds out the shocking truth that has been hidden from her for so many years.
This book is beautifully and sensitively written and is such that no one can not be moved by what Anona has gone through and the amazing courage that she has shown and coped with and that of her family while this search was on. She has turned such a dramatic and horrendous situation into a beautiful book and with this book and her courage she is going to help many others.
