That is until an owl turns up with a letter addressed to Harry and all hell breaks loose! He is literally rescued by a world where nothing is as it seems and magic lessons are the order of the day. Does this book even need an introduction? It would seem that anyone who is anyone has read a Harry Potter book.
The Philosopher's Stone is where it all begins with Harry's first year at Hogwarts School of magic. It's very easy to sympathise with the young Harry as we see him escape from his horrible life with the Dursleys. He quickly forms a friendship with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger and together they solve the mystery of the Philosopher's Stone.
The minute you read about Quidditch all you want to do is be able to play it yourself, I certainly did!!! I also wish I had a wand and could perform magic like they do at Hogwarts, life there is definately more interesting than my school days were.
