Synopsis
Burglar trouble! Oli and Skipjack have a plan: to punish mean old Mr Grimble by kidnapping all his garden gnomes. The World's Best Jewel Thief also has a plan: to become very rich by stealing the Black Star diamond from the town museum. When these two plans collide, it's trouble! "Gnomes are Forever" is full of twisty plots, wacky characters and calamitous comedy.
Review
The two main characters in this book are young boys always trying to get someone into trouble, especially Mr. Grimble the bus driver! Oli and Skipjack start by suggesting that he is the local cat burgler who is taunting the town where they live, and that is the start of their plan and the trouble they get up to their necks in!
These two boys are so crazy that they think they can liberate all the gnomes in the town and set them free! But they don't understand what they have got themselves into and so starts the fun and the scrapes that typical young boys loved to get up to.
This is a brilliant little book and I gather one of a series of books, two other titles are The Mum Shop and Spookoscope. The titles just tell you they are going to be fun!
I laughed and chuckled my way through the story. Youngsters will love this book and I can see many a grandparent or parent of a child having as much fun reading it to the kids as letting the kids read it for them-selves. I can only say GIVE US MORE!!!
