Review
Ghost Hunter is the 6th and final book in the 6 book arc by Michelle Paver of The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness, set around 6ooo years ago. She has given us a roller coaster of a ride with our trio, Torak, Renn and Wolf as they fight to overcome the evil of Eostra the wicked Mage.
I just loved this book and the writings of Michelle Paver; she has a way with words that are exciting and unusual, that make you want to turn the page over as fast as you can to find out what happens - will Torak live even as it has been prophesized that he will die - no matter what.
Along the way we meet Dark who is to help them - he is a very unusual character both in looks and what he can do. I found that I wanted the story to carry on and not stop I had enjoyed it all so much.
Over the 6 books you could tell that Michell had done a phenomenal amount of research which she has used extremely well in describing daily life of that period and how Torak and Renn along with Kin-Fedinn would act. We hear Wolf's voice as well with the shattering events that are to overwhelm him.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable roller coaster of a read that will have you shedding tears and breathing sighs of relief, right up until the very end because nothing is as it seems! A book I more that highly recommend for both adults and children of what ever age you are.
