Synopsis

The fascinating story of the making of the most influential SF film ever made, republished to coincide with the film's cinematic re-release. It contains exclusive production photos; an exclusive interview with Ridley Scott, cast interviews - including an entirely new interview with Harrison Ford - one of the very last interviews make with Philip K. Dick, and a complete annotated bibliography.

Review

This is one of the most in-depth books on any one film -and as it happens to be about one of my favourite movies of all time I loved it. It covers every possible aspect of Blade Runner that you can think of -the various drafts of the screenplay; the back biting on the set between the film crew and Ridley Scott (including the t-shirt wars) and the wonderfully detailed special effects & post-production work from Doug Trumbull. This was a joy for me to read, and really made me appreciate just how special Blade Runner was. There will never be another film like it -and this is the book that tells you why.

Oh, and Deckard is a replicant...
