Synopsis

In bestselling author Alex Kava's spine-chilling new thriller, FBI criminal profiler Maggie O'Dell must expose a killer who hides in plain sight. Agent Maggie O'Dell believes she's responding to a threat, but instead walks into a trap. The killer's weapon is a deadly virus, virtually invisible and totally unexpected. His victims appear to be random but, in fact, they are chosen with a revengeful precision. Maggie knows dangerous minds - from hauntingly perverse child predators to cunningly twisted serial killers. Now, she faces a new opponent from inside an isolation ward. Maggie must find clues to catch the killer - while waiting to see if the deadly strain is already multiplying in her body. With every new exposure there's the potential for an epidemic;  Maggie knows she may not live long enough to discover who is the deadliest, most intelligent killer she's ever profiled.

Review

Exposed is about Maggie O'Dell an FBI Profiler who accidently walks into a trap and ends up being one of a number of officers detained in an isolation facility, until the virus that has struck down the main victim has been determined. Maggie, allthough she is confined there keeps trying to find out who the perpetrator of the crime is and why he struck out at the people concerned. I found Maggie to be a brilliant character along with her colleagues within the force.

This is the first book of Alex Kava's that I have read and the suspense and thrill of the chase to find the perpetrator is brilliant.  I adored this book and can not wait to read some more.

This is not the first of Alex Kava's novels - she made her debut novel in 2001 and has written 6 novels in the Maggie O'Dell series. She divides her time between Nebraska and Florida and is currently working on her next Maggie O'Dell novel.
