This is the third book in the urban fantasy-thriller series starring sexy bounty hunter and witch, Rachel Morgan. If you make a deal with the devil, can you still save your soul? To avoid becoming the love-slave of a depraved criminal vampire, bounty-hunter and witch, Rachel Morgan, is cornered into a deal that could promise her an eternity of suffering. But eternal damnation is not Rachel's only worry. Her vampire roommate, Ivy, has rediscovered her taste for blood and is struggling to keep their relationship platonic, her boyfriend, Nick, has disappeared - perhaps indefinitely, and she's being stalked by an irate pack of werewolves. And then there's also the small matter of the turf war raging in Cincinnati's underworld; one that Rachel began and will have to navigate before she has the smallest hope of preserving her own future.
Review
This is not a children's read with the story line getting very dark at times. But, if you like a read that drags you in and keeps you riveted waiting to find out what happens next this is it. Rachel Morgan the lead is one of the most exciting characters I have read about in years. This book has everything, all your favourite supernatural character types, also a good spattering of crime and romance, with some of the cheekiest jokes to make you smile. The book is so well written you could easily believe that the Interlander's are real, even if they are not yet as predominant as they are in the books.
This is the third book in the Rachel Morgan saga and they just seem to be getting better and better. And with the way things are going I cant see where the saga will end. But will keep reading to find how life progresses for this amazing group of characters.
