Synopsis

Sookie doesn't have that many relations, so she hated to lose one person but of all the people to do, she didn't expect it to be her cousin Hadley, a consort of New Orleans' vampire queen - after all, Hadley was technically already dead. But she is gone, beyond recall, and she's left Sookie an inheritance - one that comes with a bit of a risk - not least because someone doesn't want Sookie digging too deep into Hadley's past - or her possessions. Sookie's life is once again on the line, and this time the suspects range from the rogue werres who reject Sookie as a friend of the pack to her first love, the vampire Bill. Sookie's got a lot to do if she's going to keep herself alive ...

Review

Charlaine Harris has written yet another vampire based story - Definitely Dead - This book was written some months before Hurricane Katrina struck on the Gulf Coast, the plot is set in and around the gulf coast and therefore Charlaine wondered whether to leave it as it was.

Well Charlaine did release this book and it touches all the right spots for those us who love vampire books. Sookie didn't have many relations, so therefore she hated to lose one - but of all the people to go, she didn't expect it to be her cousion Hadley, a consort of New Orlean's vampire queen - after all Hadley was technically alreay dead.

But she is gone, beyond recall, and she's left Sookie an inheritance, one that comes with a bit of risk - not least because someone doesn't want Sookie digging too deep into Hadley's possessions .. or her past.

Enjoy the story and also more of her stories reviewed here on our website.   Charlaine knows how to write a story that her readers will enjoy - especially one about vampires.
