Daisy is busy playing when Darkness slips in through her bedroom window. She's not afraid of him at all - instead she makes him her friend and together they dance the evening away! This highly original new picture book features a winning mix of contemporary artwork and a spirited story that imagines Darkness as a welcome playmate and bedtime companion.
Review
Darkness Slipped In is a fantastic book that will allay any child's fears of being in the dark. Daisy is certainly not afraid and in fact pulls Darkness in and makes him dance the twist and then sit down for a drink of lemonade and a cake! How brilliant is that! The book is very well illustrated in black, pink and white and I have to say it is the sort of book I would have liked to have read to my children when they were very young. Full marks for an entertaining story that's fun to read but with a purpose.
