Review
Barack Obama by Tim Alexander and read by Kerry Shale is packed with information about the new President of America, his family, his hopes and his influences on how he became the man we know today.
I found it a fascinating insight into how the work ethic was instilled into the young Barack by his mother from a very early age and the countries where he lived and how they influenced his attitude.
Tim Alexander takes us on a journey from birth to Presidency taking us not only through the American Civil Rights Movement in the 60s but the original American Civil War in the mid 1800s and why it happened. The knowledge of which hugely effected Barack Obama as he was growing up and the decisions he was going to make in the future.
An excellent audio book that really does give us an insight but is kept short and sweet so interest doesn't flag. I recommend this for both adults and children.
