Review

An enthralling, romantic novel from a best selling author Eva Ibbotson.

The book tells the story of a young dancer who gets the offer of the opportunity to dance with a Russian Ballet Company. Harriet defies her father and goes to join the group who are off on a journey down the Amazon Delta. Before she goes she spends time with her neighbours Chiuld Henry and he tells her he has an uncle who lives in the Amazon and of his great achievements in his home out there.

Harriet decides that she will go with te troup and manages to get to London in time to join them before they leave. She practices every day on the trip and with the other artists prepares to dance for all she is worth.

This is a fabulous book about the world of dance and the life on tour in distant places. This book is magical and I look forward to reading more of Eva Ibbotson's works in the near future.
