I seem to have this ability
To get under people's skin
Some people handle it
Some people can't -
They run a mile
Me - I don't understand
Why this could be -
I don't want to hurt anyone
I just want to be their friend
But they don't understand
So here I am feeling lonely
I've gotten under a person's skin
And they can't accept it
They're scared of me ‘coz
I've gotten too close
And that hurts
Why can't people be themselves
Why can't they be free
Sometimes they're really hurting inside
And they're afraid to be
Themselves
In case they get hurt
Again 9.44pm
