About Us

Vicky - mother of Naomi and her 4 sisters. She does all the interviews for the spoken interviews and, communicates with just about everyone for The Bookfiend's Kingdom.

It was Vicky's idea to raise funds for the Disabilities Trust in this way, because of her hospital radio experiences in the 80s and 90s, where she not only interviewed lots of authors, but many famous personalities, from the Pet Shop Boys and Peggy Lee, to Anthony Hopkins and all inbetween. She has also tutored university students on how to perform interviews, whilst David has trained them in how to perform old style editing, with a razor, tape, and block.

For relaxation Vicky likes knitting, crocheting, quilting and reading - oh and watching tv, e.g. Heroes and  Boston Legal, and not forgetting walking the dogs.

David - father to Naomi and her 4 sisters. He does all the audio editing, and chauffeuring. He is a very wonderful support to Vicky, and loves to potter about in the garden, which this year is quite amazing. For relaxation he enjoys walking our dogs, and playing his guitar.

Debbie - is a mother of 5, and grandmother of 12, plus a bump! She does all the cataloguing of our books, and research for the autism side. She also helps with the chauffeuring of Vicky, for out of town interviews. Debbie finds relaxation in knitting, quilting, and reading. She also enjoys playing with Bootsie, her 4 month old kitten.

Debbie was diagnosed with A-Typical Aspergers Syndrome, in early 2007.

The Reviewing Team - our team come from all walks of life, but above all, they are people who love to read. They include mums, to researchers, teenagers, to pensioners. Maybe you would like to join the team, so if you do please contact us.
