Our Interviews

As a nurse and midwife in the 60s, I loved talking to patients so when I started doing interviews for hopsital radio in the 80s and 90s and now 2007 for the website, I found I was able to use those skills. Some of the spoken interviews will be a blast from the past like Ian Rankin 1992 and Douglas Adams 1992 as well as our current ones from the past year.

RandomI hope I'll be able to bring some well known names for you to listen to and find out how these authors, right at the very beginning of their careers were developing their book characters. For instance I met Ian Rankin as a 25 year old in the 90s when he was just beginning his Rebus stories, and in 2006 I was able to do a catchup with him and could see how Rebus had developed over the years.

I'll also be interviewing up and coming new authors , CJ Lines, Scott Lynch, Alis Hawkins, Alison Goodman and LC Tyler being just a few, and as many well known ones as possible such as Adele Parks, Jilly Cooper, Raymond E. Feist and Alison Weir!

Keep a look out for our latest spoken and written interviews.

Interview

On Wednesday 15th October 2008 I met up with a very cold Carol Drinkwater to chat with her about 'The Olive Tree', her latest book about her journey to not only find the original source of the olive tree but to find the oldest living one.

She arrived in understated elegance but having just flown in from a very warm South of France she was just a tad cold in London of 15C. When she talked about her olive tree adventure it was obvious just how passionate she was about it and how to grow it with tender loving care - organically.
