Having very recently interviewed crime writer Leigh 
Russell on her books Short Cut and Road Closed she emailed me the good news that her book Cut Short has been shortlisted for the Crime Writers' Association 2010 John Creasey New Blood Dagger Award.
Here she is with Ian Rankin and Mark Billingham taken at the announcement ceremony at Harrogate Festival in July this year. We wish her good luck for this her debut book.
