I have a 3G Kindle and love it - especially when I use it in the landscape mode - now however Kindle have brought out a new Kindle that is altogether smaller, in keeping with other ereaders such as the Sony one.
I verey much like the idea of having a touch screen for the querty keyboard instead of an actual one like the original Kindle. As usual it has all the features that you would expect of - changes in font size - very important for the older person, and the e-ink that allows you to read in bright sunshine. This new Kindle has a Wi Fi system only with a 1400 book capacity and the rest are to be held on a Kindle cloud - so no problems with how many books you want to buy!
Instead of being black it is silver - not sure about that as I like the matt black of the original - but size is important and this one you can definitely put in your pocket without any difficulty because it is much smaller, slimmer and lighter!
I highly recommend it for all the above reasons.
